from January to May 2022 I completed an internship for Kwanele, a South African NPO based in Cape Town. Kwanele supports South Africans affected by gender-based violence using technology as well as face-to-face. as part of my work I organised community meetings, produced educational resources, and provided one-on-one support to survivors of domestic violence. I researched, wrote and designed a series of infographics available to view below, and personally distributed informative posters to nighttime venues across Cape Town, as part of which I met with owners and managers of nighttime venues in order to enquire about their anti-harassment policies and to encourage them to improve/introduce such polices where necessary.
