    • computer science student – year 2 – university of warwick (september 2020 – present)
      • after taking a year out of my studies, I’m excited to start the second year of my computer science course. taking an ethics module as part of my optional modules, I hope to be able to explore the ethical questions associated with big data management and artificial intelligence. furthermore, I want to investigate the effect of monetization on social networks and how it has transformed user experiences.
    • community outreach and web development intern – kwanele south africa (january 2022 – present)
      • after completing a 17 week internship with Kwanele, a South African nonprofit working to increase conviction rates for gender-based violence cases, I’ve remained a part of the team working primarily on outreach and website development.
      • as part of this work, I am working on creating a coalition of international organisations who provide tech solutions for those affected by gender-based violence.

    • fucking groovy magazine (2019 – present)
      • during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020 I began the personal project fucking groovy magazine, with the goal to provide creatives my age with a platform to share their creative projects in print. as well as this, I conducted interviews with creatives including Ambivalently Yours about their personal journeys with self-expression.
      • the first issue, ‘self-expression is fucking groovy’, was printed on recycled paper in early 2021 and available to purchase online. online copies are also available on request to f.inggroovy@gmail.com .
      • I hope to produce a second edition, titled ‘every day is fucking groovy’ over the course of 2023.
  • previously:
    • youth reporter’s board – tour de moon (2021-2022)
      • for the duration of the Tour de Moon festival I was part of the Youth Reporter’s Board. working primarily on research, outreach and engagement, I contacted 100+ youth-oriented organisations across the UK to raise awareness about and encourage young people to apply for 850+ funding grants made available by Tour de Moon.
      • over the course of the planning of the festival Youth Reporters attended integral planning meetings in order to represent the youth voice and evaluate how effectively Tour de Moon was upholding its core values.
      • furthermore, I assisted with the coordination of the finale event in Hackney, including manual set up of the event, and control of merchandise sales for the duration of the finale.
    • creative coordinator – nelly ben hayoun studios (2022)
      • during the interim between the finale of Tour de Moon and the start of my University year I worked as a temporary creative coordinator for Nelly Ben Hayoun Studios. my key responsibilities included updating the website with up-to-date news, carrying out research for upcoming documentary Red Moon (particularly focusing on potential interview subjects and relevant locations), accessing and maintaining admin email accounts in order to keep a record of applicants to University of the Underground programs, assisting with rebrand design of the studio’s branding pack, drafting newsletters to the Tour de Moon mailing list and more.
    • co-organiser – protect warwick women (2021)
      • over the course of my first year at university I participated in an 11 week ‘sit-in’ demonstration protesting to reform inadequate anti-sexual violence policies at my university.
      • as part of the organising work for this demonstration, I drafted a list of proposed demands in collaboration with other student groups which I later defended during a legal mediation held with university representatives. Our organisation also gave advice and suggestions on procedure to prevent sexual assault to the MP for Leamington Spa.
      • using social media we recieved opinions of over 1000 students on the university’s sexual assault policies which we presented to the university.
      • after 11 weeks and legal mediation myself, another representative of protect warwick women, and the university came to a mutually acceptable conclusion to the demonstration.
    • head of campaigns – it happens here society, warwick (2021-2022)
    • front of house staff – bill’s restaurant, Leamington Spa (2021)
    • social media manager – ajax digital (2019-2020)
      • curated social media content for accounts with a combined reach of 250,000 instagram users. as part of this work, I monitored social media engagement and adjusted marketing strategies accordingly. organising paid promotional posts for customers on our accounts gave me unique insight into monetization of platforms such as instagram and how it has shaped user experience for businesses, content creators and general social media users.

    • my key interests at school were Model United Nations and Drama. I participated in 10+ MUN conferences and the organisation of the GHSMUN conference. I performed in at least 2 drama performances during each academic year (>14).
    • during sixth form I was selected to be part of the Charity Committee.
